Southland’s Mid-Atlantic Life Sciences team led by Raj Vora was awarded Intercell USA, Inc. Pilot Plant Upgrade Project. Southland will be the prime contractor on this negotiated, turnkey design-build project. Southland’s scope of work includes the renovation and expansion of 15,000 square feet of cGMP manufacturing space within an occupied and operating biotech facility. Southland will also self-perform the controls on this project. This project continues to solidify Southland’s presence as a design-build leader for the Life Sciences industry and is slated for completion on December 31, 2009.
The Mid-Atlantic division was also awarded the Hale Properties Central Plant Project located in Baltimore, Maryland. Southland will once again be the prime contractor on this negotiated, turnkey design-build project. Southland’s scope of work includes the renovation of existing mechanical space within an occupied office tower and the installation of a central cooling and heating plant. Southland was selected by the owner based on Southland’s design-build track record and ability to deliver complex projects within given schedule and budget restraints.
