Southwest Division Leader Dan Coppinger Appointed to Nevada’s New Energy Panel

The state of Nevada recently appointed Dan Coppinger as an Advisory Member to the Nevada Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Authority (NREEEA). Mr. Coppinger serves as the treasurer for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Nevada and is the Vice President/Division Leader for the Southwest Division of Southland Industries. As an appointed public officer, Mr. Coppinger will serve as an energy efficiency equipment and installation advisor to Nevada Energy Commissioner Dr. Hatice Gecol.

The NREEEA’s mission is to advise the Commissioner and the Authority on the viability and progress of energy efficiency and renewable energy retrofit projects at public buildings and schools. Additionally, the Panel’s responsibilities include applying for available grants and accepting any gifts, grants or donations to assist the Panel in carrying out its duties pursuant to the mission. The Panel will also serve as an expert group on energy issues to the State and Local Government Entities and Elected Officials.
