AEI Conference 2015

The Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) Conference offers an opportunity for members of the building construction industry, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, construction management professional and architects, to learn about and discuss advanced strategies and state-of-the-art practices of building technology. The conference will feature presentations on building integration, as well as the latest technology in the many areas of the building design, construction, and maintenance. The conference offers a balance between academics and practice and will offer presentations, panel discussions, workshops, technical paper sessions, invited and keynote presentations, and local tours of technical interest. 

 

Southland's own Victor Sanvido will be speaking on "A Lean Approach to the Planning, Design, and Construction of Buildings.

This presentation will highlight waste and identify several methods to identify and eliminate that waste. It will also explore some of the possibilities through innovation in project delivery, lean operating systems, modeling and prefabrication. Ultimately the building must help its occupants deliver more effective services to their customers.
