Andrew A. Fimiano
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Fimiano joined Southland in 1982 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Manager, and has helped propel the company’s
sales growth to an average of more than $260 million in annual contract volume. He has spearheaded Southland’s rise as an industry
leader in design-build and design-assist services. His knowledge of HVAC system design/operations, thermal storage, co-generation,
energy management, estimating and project management is exemplary in the industry.
Mr. Fimiano received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from Drake University. He
serves on the Board of Directors for the Sheet Metal Air Conditioning National Association (SMACNA) and is a member of the American
Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). |

Jon Spallino
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Spallino joined Southland in 2002, bringing with him more than 15 years of financial and commercial banking experience with a top
California financial institution, along with six years in regional leadership in turnaround management and new geographic market
development. Mr. Spallino applies his results-oriented approach to Southland’s overall financial success and oversees Southland
’s Safety, Information Technology, Training and Legal Departments. His highly developed strategic planning and financial
management skills have contributed enhanced profitability through identifying revenue opportunities, streamlining operations and
reducing costs.
Mr. Spallino received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California at San Diego. A Certified Financial
Planner with a professional designation in financial planning from the University of California Los Angeles, he serves on Southland
’s Executive Team and Board of Directors. |

Joseph G. Cvetas
Regional President

Mr. Cvetas joined Southland in 1987 as a Contract Executive focused on advanced technology. Since then, he has introduced Southland to
advanced technology sectors including the aerospace, semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries. His expertise lies in the design and
construction of design-build mechanical systems for large, complex advanced technology projects. Mr. Cvetas led the establishment of the
company’s regional offices in Washington, DC and San Jose, CA, and is currently responsible for successfully overseeing two of
Southland’s four operating divisions.
Mr. Cvetas received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He serves on Southland’s
Executive Team and Board of Directors. He serves on the Board of Directors and is currently Treasurer of the Design-Build Institute of
America’s Western Pacific Region (DBIAWPR). |

Chuck Allen
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Allen joined Southland in 1982 as Senior Project Manager and has more than 25 years of design-build mechanical engineering and
construction experience. Mr. Allen assists the CEO in establishing strategic objectives and operating policies and procedures to ensure
attainment of corporate objectives and evaluates results of division units to determine if organization objectives are being met. He
successfully manages Southland’s procedures for project selection, budgeting, estimating, engineering and operations. Mr. Allen
also provides operational support to the division offices focused on engineering, estimating, construction and national purchasing
agreements.
Mr. Allen received a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech and has focused his expertise on the advanced
technology, healthcare, hospitality and commercial market sectors. He serves on Southland’s Executive Team and Board of Directors,
and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). |

Peter Pobjoy
Chief Design Officer

Mr. Pobjoy joined Southland Industries in 1995 as Chief of Design. He is responsible for the growth and direction of Southland’s
engineering resources in addition to leading the conceptual design on large and complex projects. His experience includes the design of
acute care hospitals, research laboratories, mission critical facilities, institutional buildings, central utility plants, hotels and
casinos. Mr. Pobjoy brings innovation to all aspects of the design focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability.
Mr. Pobjoy graduated from Trinity College Dublin with degrees in both Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered
mechanical engineer in the State of California and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is an active member of the American Society of
Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). |

Ted Lynch, Ph.D.
Regional President

Dr. Lynch joined Southland full-time in 1996 following a series of graduate internships. He quickly gained invaluable experience
managing several of Southland’s largest and most challenging projects in Las Vegas, Nevada, including the Sunset Station Hotel and
Casino and the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Later, Dr. Lynch relocated to Southland’s Mid-Atlantic Division where he served as a
Contract Executive and then as Operations Manager. In 2001, he was promoted to Division Leader, and over several years, grew the annual
volume from $32 million to $126 million by championing Design • Build, project teaming, innovative engineering solutions, and
operational excellence. Dr. Lynch is currently a Regional President responsible for Southland’s Mid-Atlantic and Southwest Divisions, as well as Corporate Marketing. He is also a member of Southland’s Executive Team and Board of Directors.
Dr. Lynch received a bachelor degree (BAE) and doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University. He was a
co-founder of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (PACE), an industry-university alliance focused on education,
research and interaction. He is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), where he has served on the Education and
Research Committee, and the Washington Building Congress (WBC). |
